This policy explains what personal data Detego Solutions Private Limited collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights available to you under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are
Detego Solutions Private Limited (CIN U62099MH2026PTC473983), with registered office at 1st Floor, 1B-102 / 1B, Parinee Crescenzo, G Block, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400051, is the Data Fiduciary responsible for personal data processed through this website and our platforms.
For any question about this policy or about your personal data, write to contact@detegosolutions.com.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal data we process when you visit this website, contact us, subscribe to or use our platforms and data services, or engage us for consulting, advisory or training work.
It does not apply to third-party websites we link to, including the websites of regulators, exchanges and filing entities.
Personal data we collect
- Information you give us. Name, work email address, telephone number, organisation, job role and the content of your enquiry or correspondence.
- Account and subscription data. Login identifiers, entitlements, subscription records, billing contact details and transaction history where you hold a paid subscription.
- Technical and usage data. IP address, device and browser type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and platform interaction logs. This is collected automatically through server logs and, where enabled, analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies. As described in the section on cookies below.
Corporate disclosure data
Our platforms process corporate disclosure published by companies and regulators. This material is overwhelmingly entity-level and non-personal: emissions, energy, water, waste, workforce aggregates, CSR expenditure, governance structures and similar reported figures.
Where such filings contain personal data that the filing entity has itself made public, for example the names and designations of directors, key managerial personnel or grievance officers, we process it only as published, for the purpose of accurately representing the disclosure and its provenance. We do not enrich, profile or cross-reference individuals from this source, and we do not use it for marketing.
Why we process personal data
- To respond to enquiries and provide information you have asked for.
- To provide, administer and support subscriptions, platforms, APIs and professional services, and to manage your account.
- To invoice, collect payment and maintain financial records.
- To secure our systems, prevent misuse, enforce usage limits and investigate incidents.
- To improve our products through aggregated, non-identifying usage analysis.
- To send service communications, and, where you have consented, product updates. You may withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Lawful basis
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, on the basis of certain legitimate uses recognised under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, for the performance of a contract with you, and where processing is necessary to comply with law. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time by writing to us; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
Storage and cross-border transfer
Our infrastructure and service providers may store or process data outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we do so in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any restrictions notified by the Central Government, and we require appropriate contractual and security safeguards from recipients.
Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as required under applicable law, including company, tax and accounting record-keeping requirements. Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is deleted or anonymised once it no longer serves a business purpose. When the purpose is served and no legal obligation requires retention, data is erased.
Security
We maintain reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access control on a need-to-know basis, credential management, logging and monitoring, and contractual security obligations on our processors. No system can be guaranteed absolutely secure; in the event of a personal data breach we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as required by law.
Your rights
Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- obtain confirmation of, and a summary of, the personal data we process about you and the processing activities undertaken;
- request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request erasure of personal data where retention is no longer necessary for the purpose or required by law;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity;
- have your grievance addressed through the mechanism set out below.
To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@detegosolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and will respond within the timelines prescribed by law.
Your obligations
When providing personal data to us, you must not impersonate another person, suppress material information, or submit false or misleading particulars. If you provide personal data about another individual, for example a colleague you ask us to contact, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
Children
Our Services are intended for business and institutional users and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data of individuals under the age of eighteen. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Grievance redressal
If you are dissatisfied with how we have handled your personal data or your request, you may raise a grievance with us at contact@detegosolutions.com, marked for the attention of the Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge and respond within the period prescribed under applicable law.
If your grievance remains unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
